Miranda Wilson is an award-winning actress and dialect coach based in New York.
Inspired by a love of performing from a young age, Miranda studied theater at the University of California at Santa Barbara, graduating with a BFA in Theater Arts with an Acting emphasis. It wasn’t long before her first professional audition in Los Angeles, which would land her the role of Megan Hathaway DiMera on the hit soap opera Days of Our Lives. This role won her the coveted Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Villainess.
Miranda continued to cultivate her on-screen persona as a dynamic leading lady, stealing the hearts of millions who lived to watch her soulful portrayals on TV dramas. Following her performance on the TV series Capitol, Miranda and Debrah Farentino were hand-picked to star in the cult classic film Cellar Dweller. After filming in Rome, Miranda returned to an audition request from the producers of Santa Barbara, to portray a psychic who would help Cruz and Eden find their, presumed dead, baby. This was her third and final series regular role as a daytime villainess.
Despite her newfound success she stepped away from Hollywood to marry, raise her kids and experience new adventures. Miranda moved her family to the UK in 1998 to found the Lewes New School, an independent primary school devoted to emotional intelligence, and holistic learning styles.
Living in the UK taught Miranda a great many things, though her favorite lesson by far was learning how to appreciate and laugh at life’s trials and tribulations. Gotta love that British humour! It was here that she developed her affinity for dialects and in 2014, when her agent Rob Kelly asked her to coach his clients in American dialects, Miranda began working as a dialect coach.
Since then, Miranda has performed in a variety of television, film, and theater productions around the globe. She won the Best Actress Award at the Queens World Film Festival in 2015 for her role as Sue, a high-strung mother in the film Beneath Water by Charlie Manton. Her highly acclaimed dramatic portrayals would continue to earn worldwide recognition as she took home the Outstanding Acting award at the Cinema On The Bayou Film Festival and the Best Supporting Actress award at the Red Dirt International Film Festival and Milwaukee Twisted Dreams Film Festival, all for her performance in An American Attorney In London by Darrell Alden.
Today Miranda works as an actress and dialect coach, and is based out of New York City.
